Fun to see - thanks for posting. Some of your choices I really agreed with, some I violently disagreed with. That dichotomy was part of what made it fun for me to read.
ReplyDeleteI love your first one - the Matchbox E430 wagon. In my opinion - one of the best MB castings of the 2000s - especially with the metal base. I have a black version that looks really sharp. I also love the Aston DBS, the 911 GT3, the Audi RS6 and the 300E. I respect your choice for the Chevy Bus - I also liked the Econoline Ambulance from the same period. Not so crazy about the 4Runner, DS and the Karmann Ghia.
In Hot Wheels, I really like the 288 GTO. They made a more expensive version with rubber wheels that is really nice... I like the F355 and the GT40 as well. Not so crazy about the unrealistically lowered '60s cars like the Continental and the Bonneville.
Nice choice with the Majorette 5 series wagon - I like that one as well. I don't like many of the Maistos - especially when they don't have an interior.
Anyway - thanks for sharing - it was a fun list to see.
Yeah those Matchboxes like the 4 Runner and DS have the chrome interior, which just ruins the whole model. But I still like them.
DeleteSame for the lowrider Hot Wheels haha. Can't explain what I like.
A beautiful collection! I got my kid the Matchbox Buick police car, the same you have there and I just smiled cause I remembered how it originally looked, a beautiful car! My kid's Buick is missing almost ll the paint but it can still drive! :)
ReplyDeleteI love Matchbox a lot cause they're really realistic, compared to some HW models. If you wanna check out how the Buick looks like after A LOT of play check it out here: Matchbox along with other Matchbox police cars and other models. Hope you like the collection, please drop a comment.
