250 Posts! Let's Celebrate...

This is the 250th post from LA's Diecast! Thanks to everyone who has viewed/shared posts from my little blog. It has been lots of fun so far, and there will be plenty more posts coming soon!

So lets celebrate 250 posts with some Ferrari 250s... Enjoy!

  1. What a great assortment. Love the blog

  2. Just saw the link to your blog on stuff,i bookmarked it....nice job on the "alternate color" ferrari berlinettas.

  3. Fun colors. Of all the castings you've got up here, I like the Lesney the most. And while my favorite is the red superfast authentic version, I'm still a sucker for the wire wheels (I don't like the discs at all). You've done the wire wheel version in black, white, silver, maroon, red and graphite, and they all look nice...

When you re-spray a car, do you always strip it first? The last time I did any real quantity of re-sprays was about 15 years ago. I always think it'll look better if I strip the old paint first, but its such a messy job dealing with the paint stripper, that aside from an occasional one I've e largely put off doing it in recent years. But you give me ambition to do it again...

Thanks for the post, and congrats on 250 posts. Its a lot of work, I know. I'm only at 63...

    1. Thanks for the comment! I love that Lesney casting, it's so nice and fun to work with. And yes I always strip the casting first. Any paint chips that are there will always show up through the new paint. The stripper is messy, but the end result is worth it!

It is a lot of work, but fun and rewarding!
