Hot Wheels Porsche 356 "Outlaw" Custom
How about this for a custom... It's way up there on the list of favorite cars in my entire collection!! I've been itching to get one on the workbench ever since this casting was announced... Very exciting to have one now. What do you think?

Hot Wheels Porsche 934 RSR Turbo
Hey guys! I got xmas off from work so I decided to drive home to Kentucky for the holiday. Get to hang out with my family, wrench on the Volvo, and do some customs!!! Here'e the first one.. A Porsche 934, such an awesome casting. I was planning on painting it another color, but I thought the green etch primer looked pretty sweet, so I went with it! And I don't seem to have a paintbrush small enough to do the lights.

Lesney #48c - Dodge Dumper Truck Restoration
Well I'm not gone yet!! I'm hitting the road saturday, so I'm going to try and get one more done before then. Here's a Dodge dump truck I just finished up.
I didn't plan to make this one as a copy of the Scammel Slowplow, but I guess it worked out that way haha.

Lesney #39a-Ford Zodiac Convertible Restoration
Here's a somewhat uncommon old Lesney. At least, I don't see them come up on ebay all that often. It was in decent shape, but the windshield frame was bent quite badly when I got it.
Some careful bending, and it looked good as new! I decided to go with a color that goes with the original teal blue of the chassis, and I could see Lesney back in the day painting this car in this shade of cream. I'm happy with how it turned out.
You probably won't be seeing much of me for a while. I've taken a new job with a small regional airline based out of Cape Cod Massachusetts. I'll be moving up there in about two weeks for training, then who knows where. I'm hoping for Maine or New Hampshire, but I really don't know where I'll be based after training. Long story short, I won't have time or space for this hobby for a while unfortunately. I'll miss it, and am going to try and keep up with the latest Matchbox releases. It's been fun!!

Majorette Simca 1308 Restoration
Back at it with this Majorette Simca 1308. Chrysler of Europe was an interesting company back in the day, to say the least. They made consistently woeful and outdated products that they bought from other random car companies, such as this Simca/Talbot! (Not much has changed, has it?)
But Majorettes are always cool, and I enjoyed this one. The paint didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped, I think the humidity did it. Not sure if you can tell from the photos or not though. I might strip it down and repaint it at some point, so I didn't bother with any detail work. And my trusty silver paint pen ran out, so no wheel refinishing for the time being. Oh well, enjoy!

Matchbox VW Transporter 50th Anniversary Wheel Swap
Hey everybody. This isn't quite a proper custom, just a little wheel swap. I bought a lot of premium series HW and MBXs a year or so ago that were mint, but just missing wheels. I've been slowly adding wheels as I obtain appropriate ones. This morning I did a nice VW Transporter.

Matchbox Routemaster Bus 60th Anniversary Series CHASE MODEL
So one of my "Holy Grails" of diecast collecting arrived in the mail today. I was never able to find one of these back in 2013 when this series was out, and have wanted one every since. And today is the day!! It's a stunning model, love the "spectraflame" look of the paint and the greatly detailed tampos. If you don't have this one in your collection, do yourself a favor and spent the $20 or so and grab one.

Matchbox Peugeot 205 Turbo Custom
Hey guys! We are back from a little diecast break. I recently bought a parts car for my Volvo, so I've been spending most of my free time in the garage playing with big toys haha.
But I'm back and have tackled a lovely little French hot hatch from Peugeot. I have loved the 205 since I was a kid, and have wanted to customize one for ages! This casting is a bit hard to come by in the states, but I happened across one in a cheap ebay junk lot.

Getting stripped down ready for paint, and some new wheels and tires
I'm thrilled with how it came out! Not perfect (as so few of my projects are), but pretty darn nice,
